Session for Tyton Partners Homeweek - October 4, 2023
Advance Reading & Reflection
In fall 2022, a Women of Tyton book club read Beyond Leaning In: Gender Equity and What Organizations are Up Against together. To facilitate all Tyton colleagues having a common framework and vocabulary for our October homeweek session, we’re asking all members of the Tyton team to read or re-read a brief excerpt of the book (preface, chapters 1-3, chapters 10-12), downloadable below.
Please read/re-read the excerpt (~45 minutes) and spend ~10-15 minutes completing a brief reflection survey by September 28th — even if you already did this exercise in the spring. This will ensure that the session is tailored to the Tyton teams’ current experiences, and that we’re all aligned with a recent understanding of the excerpt. If you’ve read the excerpt previously, we encourage you to use the occasion to reflect on what might be different about your reflections and thinking now compared to six months ago.
